UNCERTAINTY
Life is filled with uncertainty.
+How do people try to cope with and minimise these uncertainties?
While knowing God and His words in the Bible, doesn’t mean we’ll face less uncertainty, it does mean that we don’t need to worry about what’s ahead. We’ll be like tiny children without language, happily getting in the car with Mum. They have no idea where they are going, but they’re okay because they’re going with Mum.
Today we remind ourselves about why we can completely trust God.
“Listen to me, descendants of Jacob,
all you who remain in Israel.
I have cared for you since you were born.
Yes, I carried you before you were born.
I will be your God throughout your lifetime—
until your hair is white with age.
I made you, and I will care for you.
I will carry you along and save you.
“To whom will you compare me?
Who is my equal?”
Isaiah 46:3-5
Complete this sentence: God is big enough for ___________. For those first reading this, it would have looked like God had abandoned them, their proud nation brought to its knees.
Yet this was not the end. Rather, it was the beginning of something better.
Our lifetime is full of things that come to an end.
But God’s care continues through each phase.
